RESULTS!! – Last weekend saw the opening round of the 2023 CT Civil & Hydrovac Counties Classic Series kick off at Colin Dale Park, Manukau.

The weather gods played their part for us again and pre-watered the track for us whilst providing us with a fine weather window to get the racing in! – and we took it ; with all the 9 heat races completed under excellent track conditions. A small shower then made the feature races a new challenge for all, with slippery conditions for the final races of the day – but also fair for all, and all round it was another good day. Some great racing and racing displays were on show, and its a testament to our track crew, marshals and management team that these events run as they do – on such a good track.

Now to the points – check them out by following the link below:

We have a two-way tie for the lead after the first round between Lindsay Pointon (355) and Mathew Bishop (C63. It’s only early days with  plenty of racing left in the series to find our new Classic Champions.

In the Junior Series, Vincent Joy (M29) takes an out-right 1st overall by a mere 2 points. Check out the points and how competitors are tracking.

Thanks to our sponsors CT Civil and Hydrovac, the Counties Classic Series continues its reign as a premier series, and one worth competing for.

From the team at CMORC, we wish you all a Merry Christmas and New Year.

Next year, our club will host both Round 1 of the ORANZ National Championship Series and the NZ Stadium Offroad Championship in February. Stay tuned for details on these events and how you can get in on the action!
