The Counties Manukau Offroad Racing Club was formed in 1986 by a small group of individuals interested in the sport of racing cars offroad.
There were two other clubs in the Auckland region at the time, Auckland Buggy Club who ran most of their races in the bombing range near Murawai and Western Districts Offroad Racing Club that ran in the forests of Woodhill and Maramarua. MCORC ran races on rolling farm land anywhere from central Manukau City to as far south as Huntly.

Originally known as the Manukau City Offroad Racing Club, the club was reconstituted in 2002 as the Counties Manukau Offroad Racing Club (CMORC) to reflect the change in demographics.

Today, we still run all our race meetings in the Manukau and Counties regions and to the highest possible standards.

The club is run by members on a voluntary basis with a common goal of enjoying ourselves while competing in the sport we love.

CMORC represents offroad racing in the Counties Manukau region of Auckland, New Zealand.
Our goal is to foster the promotion and growth of our sport. We welcome newcomers to the sport, and will answer any query you have on offroading in general.

Basically, good clean fun for all the family
Club members are actively encouraged to participate and learn about every aspect of the sport, including track and event preparation, event management, as well as racing cars themselves. While the majority of the club management is dealt with separately, we hold a monthly club night as a social forum. This is a light hearted and sociable evening, family friendly and inclusive and very helpful to new members.
An ORANZ license is needed for all race drivers, (except when using a day license), and for all race vehicles. In order to acquire an ORANZ race license, you must also pay the ORANZ fee. This is payable to the Club, who will forward your ORANZ fee and application for license on your behalf.
  • Day licenses may be issued up to three times in a calendar year for drivers wanting to try out the sport.
